Does changing the speed also change the pitch?+
Yes. Speeding up raises the pitch and slowing down lowers it, the same way a tape or vinyl record sounds different when played faster or slower. This is what makes classic "chipmunk" and "deep voice" effects, but it also means it's not the tool to use if you need speed changed without any pitch shift.
